Valerian "Val" Louise Weddle
Oct. 14, 1939 - Oct. 29, 2023
DECATUR - Valerian "Val" Louise Weddle, 84, of Decatur, IL passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the Loft Rehabilitation of Rock Springs, Decatur.
Graveside services will be Thursday, November 2, at 11:00 a.m., in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made in Val's honor to Alzheimer's Association.
Val was born October 14, 1939, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Ted Vallie and Jeannette Rose (Yaegel) Banning. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed gardening, traveling, and bowling. Val's family was everything to her and she loved spending time with all of them.
Val is survived by her daughters: Valerie (Mark) Doran of Decatur, Dawn (Steve) Leiner of Mt. Zion, Cinda (Rick Johnson) Greene of Decatur; son, Eric Weddle of Decatur; grandchildren: Bob Garner, Jeremy Garner, Carson Leiner, Justin Greene, Briar Weddle, Kristen Pierantoni; great-grandchildren: Brenden, Jak, Evie, Anistyn, Ryann, Harlow, Silas, Adler, and Leo; and her brother, Larry (Sandy) Banning.
Val was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Weddle; and brother, Robert Banning.
