Valerie Bayer, 74, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026. She was born on November 28, 1951, to her late parents Frank and Lois (Heironimus) Hibbard.
She was born in Massachusetts and was raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. She graduated from Appleton High School and went to Louisburg College in Louisburg, North Carolina. She married her former husband Paul Bayer in 1975 and together they raised 2 sons.
Val was a homemaker and loved being with her boys. She would often volunteer at their grade school. She also liked to volunteer at other places, such as the library and Oneida Heights. She loved anything arts and crafts. She was very devoted in her faith and to her women’s bible study group with Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her sons: Joseph Bayer and Daniel Bayer.
Val is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will take place at Memorial Presbyterian Church – 803 E College Avenue, Appleton WI, 54911, on February 27, 2026, at 10am and burial to take place after lunch.
