Valerie Y. DePaulo, 76, of St. Petersburg, FL died Wednesday afternoon on October 8, 2025 at Bay Pines Veterans Hospital surrounded by family, her daughter, grandson and girlfriend, niece and a nephew. Valerie was born in Watertown, NY to Chester A Mahon and Frances E. Galloway, Val was the baby of 11 children. Val's first marriage was to William L. Frazier of 20 years. She then married the love of her life, Stephen L. DePaulo until he passed.

Valerie graduated from Watertown Highschool and attended vocational school before becoming a hair stylist who owned two hair salons. She then decided to join the military and also worked for the government in the Chamber of Commerce. She also worked as time went on in Retail Management. She lived a full life.

Valerie is survived by her daughter, Betty Jo Mahon of St. Pete, FL, her two grandsons Brandon Lee Bowerman of Harper's Ferry, WV and Jesse James Smith of St. Pete, FL, two great-grandsons Cash Elliott Bowman and Carter Lee Bowerman, mother of children Carrie Orr and a baby Colten on the way. We cannot forget her dog "Milkshake" who misses her very much.

A committal service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Bay Pines Memorial Park, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd. Bay Pines, FL 33744 at 10:00 am. following military honors, A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 104, 7550 60th St. N. Pinellas Park, FL 33781.
