Valerie was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX, the daughter of the late Enis and Dorothy Kerlee. She pursued higher education at LeTourneau College in Longview, TX. A compassionate animal lover, she held a special affection for cats and birds throughout her life. Valerie was a dedicated employee of Flint Ink in Ann Arbor, MI, where she worked for 20 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Richard, and their three loving sons: Daniel (Janel) and Joel, both of Commerce Township, and Timothy (Elisabeth) of Livonia. Valerie was also a cherished grandmother to three grandchildren: Olivia, Bryce, and Troy.
A visitation will be held for friends and family on December 6th, 2025, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, at Lynch and Sons Funeral Home, 340 N Pontiac Trail Walled Lake, MI 48390
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley, in Valerie's honor - https://www.hshv.org/give/donate/.
