Valerie "Val" Eve Kaufman, 84, entered into eternal peace with family members at her side on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, in Grand Junction, CO.
Valerie was born on September 18, 1941, a daughter of the late Meyer and Kathryn Rabinowitz and a sister to two siblings. She was born in Weehawken, NJ and the family relocated to California, as a young child. She graduated from Venice High School and later attended Golden West Community College to attain her Nursing Aide certificate. She worked as a Nursing Assistant in several hospitals and within the home healthcare industry for eighteen years. She later became a city bus driver that assisted patrons with disabilities for eight years.
She is survived by her four children: Harold Jr, Stacey (Eric), Scott (Julie) and Lisa (Mark); her eight Grandchildren: Erik-Jonathan (Tara), Zanna (Matthew), Landyn, Christopher (Jessica), Lyndzey (Johnny Sr.), Michael, Melissa, and Anthony (Samantha); and her thirteen Great Grandchildren: Trenton, Devin, Chevelle, Kenzie, Karenna, Ezekiel, Johnny Jr., Emma, Greyson, Lilah, Emilia, Anthony John, Lucas, and her extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Kaufman of 61 years, daughter-in-law Renna and two of her Grandchildren: Jarrett and Matthew.
A private Celebration of Life Service will be held by the family.
