Valerie M. Lynch, of West Haven passed away peacefully November 7, 2025 at her home. She was the wife of the late Richard D. Lynch. Born in New Haven on June 1, 1942, daughter of the late Stanislaus and Estelle Saczynki Modzelewski, Valerie worked for Finest Foods and First National for many years. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She is the loving mother of Kimberly (Joseph) Keane and Robert (Christine) Lynch. Sister of Viki Chase and the late Michael and Steven Modzelwski. Grandmother of Robert (Alexa) Lynch, Hannah (Brandon) Savage, Molly Keane, Aidan Lynch and Connor Lynch. Great grandmother of Alexander Lynch. She is also survived by dear sister-in-laws Anne Modzelewski and Susan Bowen.
Valerie's family would like to thank the Connecticut Hospice Home care team who provided exceptional care during her illness.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday evening from 4-7 in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven, A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Blessed Michael McGivney Parish at St. Michael Church Thursday morning at 10. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. IN lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford, CT 06405.
