Valerie and I were close friends all the way thru school. We walked to school address home daily. It was by attending special services with her that I was born again. It was fun keeping up with her and her travels. She would send letters to our local paper about her wonderful experiences in Russia. I went to her birthday party where Val danced with her daughter and step daughter. They were outstanding. The world lost a bright light and heaven gained a special soul.
Love you Val.

I am so incredibly saddened to hear Maddam Navarro has passed away. She was my French teacher in 1994 at Foss Highschool. I remember how excited i was when i signed up for her class she just had an electricity about her. I will be honest I was struck by how beautiful she was too even as a 15yr old boy. She was very passionate about all of us learning French in her class and I did appreciate her patience with me personally learning the new language of French. May all her loved ones be blessed and I am so very sorry for the loss of such an amazing person. I am blessed to have learned from her.

Just learning of her passing. Valerie was a friend and classmate in Russian studies at the University of Washington, a mover and shaker. We went our separate ways after graduation and I regret having lost touch with her. RIP, Valerie, !

Madame Navarro was my French teacher at Henry Foss High School in the late 80´s.
I am saddened beyond words to have found this. She left such a lasting impression on all of her students and will be terribly missed.

I just learned of Valerie´s passing from the alumni newsletter (The KUAY) for Queen Anne High School, Seattle, WA, USA. Valerie and I shared several classes at Queen Anne and she was very truly my first teenage love. The world has lost a vibrant and beautiful soul.
