Vanda makovetskiy died suddenly from a tragic accident....
She was a vibrant senior citizen who was enjoying life to the fullest when on Wednesday morning as she was on her regular morning walk as she did with her loving husband, she was struck down by a hit and run driver. She was immediately transferred to the hospital where she fought for her life and succumbed to her injuries about 4 hours later. She will be missed by her husband Anisim whom she immigrated with to the United States from Ukraine in 1995. They were both known throughout East Providence for their ritual morning walks, hand in hand which they did every morning since coming to Providence 28 years ago. She is also survived by her loving daughter Elena Deshaies and her husband Michael Deshaies of Los Angeles CA, her granddaughter Zanna Vladico, her mother Valentina Makovetskiy and her husband Andrei Vladico of North Carolina, 4 grandchildren and several great grandchildren residing in Russia, Ukraine, Israel and the US

So sorry for your loss. I walked by the memorial for her on the post and looked up her story afterwards. She sounds like an amazing woman.
