Vanda Stanley Obituary
WEST FRANKFORT - Vanda Joy (Brown) Stanley, 76, of West Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, with her family by her side.
She dedicated many years to teaching in the Sesser-Valier and West Frankfort school systems. She was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Roger Stanley of West Frankfort; her daughter, Michelle Witt of O'Fallon, Missouri; her sons, Chad Oyler of Palmetto, Florida, and Mack Oyler of Columbia, Illinois; four grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Brown of West Frankfort; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by one sister. Her parents were James and Patricia (Cook) Brown.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Stone Funeral Home. The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, oct. 5, at the funeral home, with Roger Dutton presiding. Interment will follow in Denning Cemetery, West Frankfort.
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the "Michael J. Fox Foundation." Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home, or contributions may be mailed to Stone Funeral Home, 1201 E. Poplar St., West Frankfort, IL 62896.

I regret that I won't be able to come to the service but I want to express my sympathy to my beautiful cousin's family and friends. We were close when we were kids and I have many wonderful memories of the times we spent together.
