Vanessa Harris Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wesley A. Boyd Funeral Home (a.k.a Boyd Funeral Directors of Texas) on Sep. 18, 2024.
Vanessa Stuckey-Harris, 65, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on September 6, 2024. Born in Racine, Wisconsin, on April 30, 1959, Vanessa lived a life filled with dedication to her family, her community, and her work.
A proud retired parole officer, Vanessa later found her calling in education, spending the last decade teaching special education at Spring Woods High School. She was passionate about her students and cherished the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
Vanessa's heart was full of love for music, and she especially enjoyed listening to her husband, James, play. She found joy in watching her son, Bronson, coach basketball and be dad, and she cherished moments spent with her girlfriends. Her happiest times, however, were those shared with her beloved grandchildren. Her roles as a mother, wife, sister, friend, and "granny" were at the center of her life, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Harris, her son, Bronson Beauchamp and his wife Stephanie, her eight grandchildren, and many extended family members and dear friends.

My condolences to the Harris family, her son Bronson and his family. I have known my dear friend Vanessa for more than 30 years.
She took me into her home when I moved to Houston and looked for a job. She didn´t even know me. Her kindness, friendship and spiritual guidance helped me get through that period of time I resided in Houston.
Your friendship meant a lot to me Vanessa.
God called you home for a reason to be by his side and finally be at peace.
Love Always
