Lois Busekrus Lois Ann (nee Hanley) Busekrus, 88, born January 5, 1930, of Troy, Illinois, returned to her Maker on November 18, 2018, fortified by the Sacraments of Holy Mother the Church and surrounded by her loving family. Lois was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, IL. First and foremost in her life was her Faith, her husband, William "Bill" C. Busekrus, her four children, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Over the years, she sang in the church choir at her former parish, St. Stephen's in Caseyville, IL. Lois traveled extensively with her husband, Bill, to Ireland, England, Holland, Germany, Innsbruck, Switzerland, France, Rome in Italy, Spain, Fatima in Portugal, China, Canada, Mexico, as well as the Holy Land. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Hanley and Blanche Gilligan Hanley; her brother, Robert Hanley; and her sisters, Helen Marlow and Betty Schwager. She is survived by her husband, Bill, to whom she was married for nearly 68 years; her children, Susan Busekrus of St. Petersburg, FL, Nancy (Don) Noascono of Dwight, IL, Scott (Tammy) Busekrus of Union, MO, and Laura (Dale) Kobayashi of Troy, IL; nine grandchildren and spouses, PJ (Amanda) Noascono, Bill (Amanda) Noascono, Andrea (Doug) Pugh, Jessica (Dustin) Pelate, Abby and Hanna Busekrus, and Kenji, Kayla and Sachi Kobayashi; and seven great-grandchildren, Christina, Ty, and Sam Pugh, Giovanni Noascono, Lucas, Matteo, and Isa Tad-y Noascono. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Glen Carbon, IL.
