Velma Moseley Obituary
She was born July 10, 1930, in Chapmansboro, Tennessee to the late Lelard Wilson Shearon and Mary Alice (Hyde) Shearon. She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Moseley; brother, J.B. Shearon; sisters, Pauline Harris, Mildred Rust, and Hazel Perry; and son-in-law, Steve White.
She attended Bethel Free Will Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 55 years.
She leaves behind her son, Marty Stroud (Mattie); daughter, Katherine White; grandchildren, Robby Stroud, Stephanie Harris, Stacy White, Michael Stroud, Matthew Stroud, Susan Price, and Steven White; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 2pm at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church with Terry Forrest and John Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 12pm till the service hour of 2pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Stroud, Robby Stroud, Matthew Stroud, John Forrest, Chris Milom, and Donnie Stevanus.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.
