As I stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

I graduated high school with Venesha and she was such a lovely young lady. On the eve of the 3rd anniversary of this horrific event, I take comfort in knowing that she is in a place of peace and happiness.
I pray that God will continue to bless and watch over the Richards family.

I worked with Venesha at Marsh for several months. She was my first friend there. And she was a bright bright light. Always' so proud of her marriage and her husband. And Venesha would play her gospel music in her cubicle...LOUD....didn't care what anybody around her thought. Did not care...She felt that God was a part of her everyday life, and wanted to celebrate it. She was beautiful, really. I was simply looking through my recipes the other day, about to cook something for my husband, when I found her recipe for "Potatoes a la Venesha." It really broke my heart. And I was really really sad about the WTC disaster, and very sad that those men took all those lives, until I heard about Venesha. After that, I got angry. How dare they take her? How dare they take any of those innocent lives?

I am so sorry for your family's loss. Venesha sounds like a wonderful person. An active Christian, loving mother, wife, daughter, friend and sister. It is my honor to make a quilt block for the WTC Memorial Quilt in her memory.

Venesha was a family member who I never had the pleasure of meeting. Only through meeting her mother was I able to find out what a beautiful person she was. A young lady who loved God and who loved working with children. Viewing the tragedy of the World Trade Center sends chills throughout my body. Tears fill my eyes and my heart aches to know that not only thousands of people lost their lives in this devastation but also to know that someone so close to me suffered. Venesha I know that you are with the Lord. To the family, know that God is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit. God bless you all!

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
