Veneta (Papantoniou) Lambros, 91, died unexpectedly at the Boston Medical Center in Brighton on Saturday, October 25, 2025. She was the wife of the late Arthur Lambros. Born in the village of Elliniko in Arkadia, Greece, she was raised and educated in Greece. In the early 50’s, she came to the United States and settled in Boston with several of her siblings. In 1964 she married Arthur Lambros and together they shared over 50 years of marriage and raised their two beloved children, before his death in 2018. She was a longtime resident of Randolph. For several years, she worked for the Sealy Mattress and Stearns and Foster Mattress Companies in Randolph as a seamstress. She retired many years ago. Veneta was an active member of the St. Catherne’s Greek Orthodox Church in Braintree for many years and enjoyed her faith life there. She was an avid gardener and cherished her time visiting her homeland in Greece. She also loved her tradition of hosting Easter at her home and being surrounded by her loving family.
Veneta was the mother of Nicholas Lambros and his wife Jacqueline of Norfolk and Georgia Lambros of Randolph. She was the loving “Yia Yia” of Ariana, Isabella and Nico Lambros. She was the sister of Christos Papantoniou of Braintree, Athanasia Tombros of Randolph and the late Demitrios Papantoniou, Stavroula Kalogeropoulos, Yannis Papantoniou, Giorgos Papantoniou and Gianoula Georgantas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common St., Braintree, on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 10 AM to 11AM with Funeral Services to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be at the Gardens at Gethsemane, West Roxbury. Donations in Veneta’s memory may be made to St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church at the above address.
