Venus’ life began on May 27, 1958, in St. Joseph, MO. She was the daughter of Earl Wayne and Hazle Beatrice (Engle) Moore. Venus graduated high school from Lafayette High School in Fort Jessup, MO. She was united in marriage Richard Borg in 1999 at the Potwin United Methodist Church. Venus worked as monitor tech in cardiac care at St. Francis Hospital. She was an active member of New Spring Church in Wichita, enjoyed taking yoga classes at the YMCA and was an avid Pink Floyd fan. Venus is survived by her husband Richard of Whitewater; daughter Stephanie Larkin of St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren Jazmine Bradley of Holly Springs, GA, Shellby Bradley of Wichita, Xzena Bradley of Amazonia, MO, Precious Jackson of Wichita and Passion Jackson of Warrensburg, MO; great grandchildren Carter, Atticus, Asher, Slate, Sawyer, Jo’Khira, Jo’Kweelyn, Malayjah, Mi’Kyngg, Keta Alice, and Vincent Jr.; siblings Carol Bainum of Wichita, Michael Engle of Collinsville, OK, Amber (Clark) Ashworth of Desoto, KS, Gregory ( Debbie) Moore of Sequim, TX and David (Jackie) McKnight of Sequim, TX and several nieces and nephews. Venus passed away at her home on Tuesday July 23, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Mooney and brother Clay Moore. Her family will gather with friends on Thursday August 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. at New Spring Church, (21st Street, Wichita) for her funeral service. She will be laid to rest in Number 6 Cemetery, Fraizer, MO. on Friday August 2, 2024, at 1 p.m. Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater is serving the family. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the Whitewater Food Pantry. Please sign her online guestbook and leave a memory of Venus at www.yazelmeglifh.com.
