Born on February 9, 1931, in Athens, Texas, Vera was known for her outgoing and outspoken personality. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and infectious laughter.
As a dedicated registered nurse, Vera committed her life to caring for others, embodying the spirit of compassion and service integral to her profession. Her proudest accomplishments were centered around her family, which she cherished deeply.
Vera was a vivacious spirit who loved to travel, particularly to Las Vegas, where she created joyful memories. Her love for cooking and grilling was well-known among her friends and family, as was her passion for fishing. Many will remember her sociable nature and the warmth she brought to every gathering, hosting countless get-togethers and enjoying time spent working in her yard.
A viewing will be held on October 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. The funeral service will take place at the same location on October 10, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM and concluding at noon.
Vera Barron Bowman leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
