Vera Cerce Obituary
RUTLAND - Vera Ann Cerce, 97, beloved mother and adored grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2022, surrounded by her children; son Anthony Cerce Jr. and granddaughters Kristina and Maria Cerce. She is also survived by grandnephew Kody Stanley, grandpup Lucky, and her Cat.
Daughter of Chester E. Roberts and Vera Roberts (Stapleton) and wife of Anthony J. Cerce, Vera was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her family was her world. Affectionately known as Nana, she was a natural storyteller who loved coffee, chocolate, animals, flowers, scratchers, Bingo, and Foxwoods. She welcomed everyone into her home and gave them the gold standard hospitality. She was an original: honest, sassy, nurturing, and compassionate. A kinder, more generous heart you'd never meet. She will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to join the family for a calling hour from 11 - 12 pm, with a funeral service to follow at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 4th at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
