Vera Lamare Obituary
Date of Birth: August 25, 1931
AUBURN – Vera Lamare, 81, of Auburn, died on May 19, 2013 at home.
She was born on August 25, 1931 in Madawaska, the daughter of Philip Sr. and Marie (Saucier) Lamare.
Vera attended schools in Madawaska and then in Lewiston at St. Mary's.
She then went on to work for many years at Continental Mill. After retiring she became the family caregiver. Vera was a member of St. Philip's Church in Auburn where she was a communicant.
She is survived by her sisters Gilmay Lamarre, Joan Labadie, Marie Couillard, Bernice Michel, Ruth Martin; brother Gilman Lamare; and many nieces and nephews. Vera was predeceased by her parents; brothers Philip Lamare Jr., Herman Lamare and Norman Lamare Sr.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Auburn, on Wednesday, May 22, at 11 AM with a committal service to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Lewiston. In Vera's memory donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 45 Forest Ave., Portland, ME 04101.
