Vera's vibrant spirit and infectious smile brightened the lives of everyone she encountered, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Vera shared a special bond with her best friend and sister-by-love, Bernice Ware. Their friendship, built on years of shared memories and laughter, was a beautiful testament to the power of true, lifelong connection. Together, they enjoyed many treasured moments, especially their mutual love for yard sales, where they would often spend hours hunting for hidden gems.
Vera was an avid fan of crossword puzzles and scratch-off lottery tickets, which brought her great joy. She was also a devoted viewer of The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, eagerly following the drama and updates of her favorite characters. Whether she was sitting down with a puzzle or discussing soap opera storylines, Vera's lively personality never failed to shine.
A lover of music and dancing, Vera was always the life of any gathering, her energy lighting up every room she entered. Her laughter was contagious, and her kind heart and positive attitude made her a beloved presence wherever she went.
Vera is survived by her son, John Mills, along with her caregivers and family by love: April, Timmy, Timara, Jaden, DaShawn, Lloyd, and Tiffany. She is also lovingly remembered by her best friend and sister-in-love, Bernice Ware. Vera was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert Stanley.
Her family is deeply grateful for the love, support, and care that surrounded Vera in her final years.
