Vera Sanchez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, Cemeteries & Crematories on Apr. 2, 2025.
Vera Palomino Sanchez, 95, peacefully went home to her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrosio Sanchez, three sons; Msgt. Ambrosio Sanchez, Jr., US Army, retired, Staff Sgt. Raymond Sanchez, US Army, retired, Noel Sanchez and daughter-in-law Angel Sanchez, as well as three grandchildren; Pamela Sanchez, Gabriel Sanchez, and Giavana Sanchez. She is survived by her children; Xavier Sanchez, Sandra Lauer (Greg), and Sonia Fields (Kenneth), two daughters-in-law; Ema Sanchez and Maria Sanchez, 17 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She was born in Big Spring, Texas on December 25, 1929 to Giorgio Palomino and Simona Yanez Palomino.
Beda, as she was known by all that loved her, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who always put God and family first in her life. She loved to dance and laugh and she truly cherished her time watching and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether it be working on a puzzle, playing her favorite games, or just watching a couple of the little ones wrestling on the floor... she was happy. To say that she had a tremendous and lasting impact on several generations of our family is an understatement. She always embodied what putting faith in God and loving family should be.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church with a Committal Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
