Vergie Lee Keller

Vergie Lee Burton Keller, 95, went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2025. She was born in Sweetwater on December 8, 1929 to Bessie Mae and Elmer Burton. Vergie loved home cooking shared with her family, she could grow anything and loved her flowers. One of her favorite things was sitting at the back door and watch the birds, especially the hummingbirds. She loved her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, Vergie is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Keller; sister, Mary Lou Breeden; and brother, JW Burton.
She is survived by her children, Everett and Maria Keller; daughter, Carolyn and Ronnie Woodby; grandchildren, LeeAnn (Joe) Finnegan, Ronnie Woodby; great grandchildren, James Finnegan, Veronica and Charlotte Woodby. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family that loved her dearly.
Receiving of friends will be held in chapel of Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM with funeral services following immediately after at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Jackson officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Madisonville at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Woodby, Glenn Breeden, Johnny Breeden, Charlie Atkins, Rick Keller, and Tim Gray.
