Verna Hodge

Verna Hodge, age 58, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to travel, especially to the beach, and loved spending time with her grandkids doing arts and crafts. Verna also loved her fur babies: Gibbles, J.B., Rosie, and Sammy. She was preceded in death by parents, Johnny and Barbara Lewis, and son, Daniel Hodge. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Eddie Hodge; children, Barbara Lewis (Jeremy Webster), Nicole Banks (Marshall), and Joshua Hodge (Ashley); grandchildren, Bryson, Alexis, Skyler, Keylee, Abagail, Sierra, Gabriella, River, and Alex; great granddaughter, Ella; brothers, Johnny Lewis, Ronnie Lewis, Timmy Lewis; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday, November 3, 2025, at Rose Funeral & Cremation Broadway. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Harold Barnard officiating. The family and friends will meet at 12:45 pm Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Cook Pleasant View Cemetery in New Tazewell, Tennessee.
