Verna "Vonnie" Y. Singh, 61, entered into rest after an ongoing battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family at York Hospital on Monday, September 30, 2024.
Vonnie was born in York, PA on January 16, 1963. She was the daughter of the late Carmel L. Kuentzler Donley and Joseph W. Boothe. Vonnie lived her life being the best mother, wife, sister, and daughter that anyone could have asked for. She knew exactly how to make her house into a home and was always willing to give up what she had to anyone who needed it. There was nothing Vonnie loved more than God and her family- except maybe breaking into dance, and Jon Bon Jovi. She has a soul so bright that we can view her among the stars.
Vonnie is survived by many loved ones, including her father-in-law Shri. Shashi Deo Singh and her husband, Manoj Singh (who loves his Ishq-ki very much). Her sisters; Sharon Wilson-Hess, and husband Keith, Karen Dentler, and late husband James, Brenda Ruff, and husband Donald, and JoAnn Eaton and husband John. She is survived by her brother-in-law Neeraj Singh and his children Urja Singh (Alex) and Anuraag Singh (Jyoti). Lastly, she is survived by those whom she held the dearest to her heart; her children, Joseph Clapper (Melanie), Amanda Sebastian (Ismael), Michelle Gomez (Rutilo), Muskant Singh (Dylan), Malika Singh, and Mya Singh; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law Urmila Singh, her sister-in-law Mini Singh, and her beautiful daughter, Heather Nicole Clapper.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday 10/03/2024 at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York, followed by an 11 a.m. service at the funeral home.
