JACKSON, Verneda Jeanette- Age 92, of Flushing, died Wednesday, March 18, 2026. No services have been scheduled at this time. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the New Liberty Cemetery, 812 Greene 520 Rd., Marmaduke, Arkansas.
Verneda was born on January 5, 1934, in Marmaduke, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Calvin and Dorothy (Richardson) Fahr. She was raised in Marmaduke and attended New Liberty Church. Verneda married her childhood sweetheart, Willis Jackson, on September 30, 1950, in Marmaduke. She dedicated her life to caring for and raising their eight children, instilling strong faith and family values in each of them. Verneda cherished time spent with her family and enjoyed gardening, canning, birdwatching, and observing wildlife.
She is survived by her 7 children, Debbie (Robert) Swearingen, Sam (Roberta) Jackson, Willis (Diana) Jackson Jr., Tim (Sharon) Jackson, Doren (Angie) Jackson, Loren (Susan) Jackson and Tammy (Steve) Sams; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and sister, Lola Whitaker.
Verneda was preceded in death by her husband, Willis; son, Dale Jackson; parents, Calvin and Dorothy Fahr; and sisters, Nancy Bass and Shirley Carter.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 21 grandchildren for their care and comfort.
