Vernell Chadwell, 72, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 in Weatherford.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2024 at White's Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown, Tx.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at White's Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown, Tx.
Interment: Springtown Cemetery, Springtown, Tx.
She was born on December 23, 1951, to Wade and Helen Hampton in Weatherford, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Springtown where she attended and graduated from Springtown High School in 1970 and married Kenneth Chadwell shortly after. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in June of 2023.
Vernell and Kenneth ran multiple businesses together including Chadwell Ambulance Service, K-nell fashions, Northgate Custom Homes and many more.
She also played a vital part for many years in running the daily operations at Chadwell and Son Gas Company until she retired in 2023.
Vernell and Kenneth made many wonderful memories traveling the world with close friends and family that they always treasured and reminisced about.
She was a wonderful Wife, Sister, Moma and Nana to her family and loved to cook and bake. She made beautiful wedding and birthday cakes for many friends and families.
Vernell was proceeded in death by her husband Kenneth Chadwell, stepdaughter Cathy Chadwell, parents Wade and Helen Hampton, brothers Don, David and Ted Hampton, sisters Sue Hampton Lanier and Wanda Hampton.
She is survived by a large family including son, Kerry Chadwell and wife, Paula, granddaughters Alexis Chadwell Casteel and husband, Robert, Isabel Chadwell and fiancé Vince Senato; daughter-in-law Karen Watson Hale, granddaughter, Krystal Chadwell Archibeque and husband Rodney, great-grandson Ridge Archibeque, (soon to be great-grandson, Brock Archibeque); grandson Kasey Chadwell and wife Shawnte, (soon to be great-granddaughter Kollins Chadwell); granddaughter Kaymie Chadwell de Cento and husband Chase, great-grandson Kason de Cento and stepsons Keith and Kevin Chadwell.
She is also survived by brothers Terry Hampton and wife, Maurine; Ned Hampton and wife, Mary; sister Janice Hampton Edmunds, and husband Don; sisters-in-law Leoni and Nancy Hampton and many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
