Vernice was born June 1, 1933, daughter of the late Conrad and Mildred (Isaacson) Blomquist. She graduated from Felch High School in 1951. After her retirement she came "back home" to Felch.
Survivors include her son, Carl; two daughters, Nancy Peters and Misty (Jonathan) Szewczyk; four grandchildren, Joseph (Rosie) Aeverman, Jason (Lindsey) Aeverman, Elliette and Benson Szewczyk; four great-grandchildren, Addison, Brooklyn, Keller and Ty Aeverman; and a special niece, Chari Blomquist.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Eugene, and sons-in-law, Harold Aeverman and James Peters.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, June 7, 2024, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church in Metropolitan. Pastor Lori Liverance will officiate.

The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.
