Vernon was born February 14, 1946 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of Lee and Betty (Ashley) Jamison. He married Shirley Buhler on March 15, 1969. Vernon enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was a member of fishing clubs in his younger years, and his most recent fishing was with his grandchildren on the lake. He always had a smile on his face and brought one to everyone he was around. He was an active member in his church and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
