Graveside services for Vernon Keith Telles, 82, of Marion, Louisiana, will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Union Cemetery in Sadie under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville, Louisiana.
Vernon was born on July 21, 1943, in Litroe, Louisiana, and passed away on November 7, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a lover of warm weather so that he could spend his days outside. Vernon enjoyed playing golf with his pal Walter, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren, especially his great-grandchildren. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Georgia Pacific Papermill in Crossett, Arkansas.
Vernon was preceded in death by his son, Bronson Telles; his parents, Vernon Feldman and Ruth Evelyn (Langston) Telles; and his sister, Linda Kay Telles.
Vernon is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cathy Lynn Dopson Telles; daughter, Mahalie Barnett (Terry); son, Leigh Telles; grandchildren, Hunter Telles (Brittany), Blair Gillium (Andrew), Bailey Barnett (Chad), Andrew Telles (Ashton), Arron Telles (Kellye), and Mark Telles (Kayla); great-grandchildren, Salem, Easton, Maverick, Crue, Sawyer, Sutton, and Oakleigh, nephews and other cherished family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Bays, Tracy Leichmon, Hunter Telles, Andrew Telles, Arron Telles, and Mark Telles. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Cain, Marc Beasley, and Donnie McKinney.
Vernon's absence leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him, but his legacy of love and laughter will live on. The family appreciates the prayers during this difficult time.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
