Vernon proudly served his country with honor and distinction in the U.S. Army, embodying the values of duty, integrity, and service. His commitment to his country was matched only by his devotion to his family.
Vernon was known for his kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor. He touched the lives of many and was a source of inspiration to those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
To honor Vernon's remarkable life, a public viewing will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4:00pm - 9:000pm at the James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Blvd. Chapel. Friends and family are invited to gather to remember and celebrate his life.
A funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, September 13th, at 1:00pm, also at the funeral home. Prior to the service, a family hour will begin at 12:30pm, providing a moment for loved ones to come together in a more intimate setting before celebrating Vernon's life and legacy.
