Vernon Walker Obituary

Vernon was a retired truck driver for Tyson Foods. He was a member of the Corydon First Capital Christian Church, VFW Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion in Milltown, Indiana.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda H. (Cain) Walker, and a brother, William Thomas Walker.
Vernon is survived by his son, William L. Walker (Sandy) of Milltown, Indiana; daughter, Deborah Dabney (Tim) of New Albany, Indiana; brothers: Jerry Walker of Pleasant Lake, Indiana and Keith Walker of Marengo, Indiana; sisters: Beverly Detenber of Crandall, Indiana and Diane Main of Marengo, Indiana; grandchildren: Joseph and Christopher Poe, Adam, Justin, and Sam Dabney, Danielle Trotter, Lacey McDonald, John Walker, Dustin Walker, Amanda Bockting, and Bobby Walker; 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great- grandson.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 4-8 pm and after 10:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 pm, all at the funeral home.
Bro. Donnie Whitlow will officiate the service.
Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements.
