Veronica (Bonnie) Fritsch passed away on November 22, 2025 in Nolanville, Texas at the age of 93. She was born June 13, 1932 in Bradford, Pennsylvania to Charles and Mary Prekopi. She worked on the family farm until she joined the Women's Army Corp in April, 1953. She left the military when she met and married Kenneth in Japan in 1957. Kenneth was also in the US Army and they traveled the world together while raising their family. When Kenneth retired, they settled in Killeen, TX and both went to work for Killeen Independent School District. Veronica worked most of her career as Head Custodian at Clarke Elementary and was so very proud of her school. During this time, she also earned an Associates Degree from Central Texas College. After retirement, Veronica became an active member of the Bob Gilmore Senior Center. She was a very talented seamstress, knitted, crocheted and quilted. She was proud to have made many quilts for children of the Linus Project and heart pillows for Cardiology patients at Baylor Scott & White. She made beautiful quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active and faithful member of St Joseph's Catholic Church. She sang in the choir and participated in many events and functions. She was very proud of her home in Nolanville and worked in her yard until she was 90. She had a large, beautiful yard full of many flowers and roses that she tended with such care. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 1984, her parents, a brother, 3 sisters, a son and a grandson. Veronica is survived by her daughters; Deborah (John) Reeves of Nolanville and Diana Wolbrueck of Nolanville. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Paul (Laura), Mark, Katie, Ryan, Brandie (Jason) and Billy. She was blessed to also have 7 great-grandchildren; Gene, Claire, Riley, Kristin, Sydney, Ethan, Addyson, Audree and Eli (The Professor). Her life exemplified love in action and the beauty of a generous heart. Though she will be greatly missed, her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and in the hearts that cherish her memory.
