Veronica Garrett Obituary
Vonnie completed high school before going on to graduate as a beauty technician, but would find her calling serving her community, friends and family as a waitress here in Billings at the War Bonnet and JB's. She was always ready to listen over a cup of coffee, and she spoke from the heart.
Vonnie always kept busy, and she was filled with love. Always in the kitchen whipping up something wonderful (like her beloved millionaires fudge, chocolate peppermint patties and caramels), or chatting with good friends on the phone, when she finally let herself have a moment's rest she could be found curled up with a good book or a good show. Her house and her heart were open, home to anyone, without condition.
Veronica is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Al Garrett; her sister and brother-in-law, Delores "Dee" Stevenson and John "Jiggs" Stevenson; her daughter, Debra Bleken and her son, David Bleken.
Veronica is survived by her son, Daniel (Dorothy) Bleken; daughter in law Debbie Bleken; nieces Lonnie Taylor and Shawna Stevenson; nephews Bill (Jessie) Stevenson and Joe (Vickie) Stevenson; and grandchildren Shane (Shay) Sandlie and Justin (Ezra) Sandlie.
Veronica's celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. January 10, 2026 at Billings Cremation & Burial Service, 29 8th St W, Billings, Montana 59101.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family only requests to send Veronica off together.

Dan, we are so very sorry to read about Vonnie´s passing. She was such a great lady and I believe she was so happy to see my dad and Debbie and David once again. I will always love and appreciate your mom because she took such good care of my dad.
Thank you so much for being such a wonderful son to her and for taking such good care of her. I think of Vonnie every time I look through my recipe file because I have so many good recipes that she wrote in her handwriting on recipe cards. She was always happy to share. What a special lady she was!
