Clifton Park –
Veronica (Ronnie) Ann Jones, 63, Of Clifton Park, entered into rest on December 9, 2022.
The daughter of the late George Mozeko, Jr. and Bernice Kathryn Mozeko (Deihl), however lovingly raised by her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Edwards, Veronica was born on December 18, 1958, In Niskayuna, New York.
Veronica Has Resided in Niskayuna, Watervliet, Malta, Troy, Stillwater, and Halfmoon/Clifton Park. She received her education in Troy, New York, earning a High School Diploma.
Ronnie Worked for The Troy Record through the late 90s before finding her calling which was residential care in a nursing home. She spent the better part of the last 25 years working for The Sisters of St. Joseph's Provincial House in Latham, as a Home Health Aid. She was adored by both the sisters and her co-workers as was evident through their written words in the many messages and cards that were sent to her throughout her illness.
In addition to her love for her family, friends and her career, Veronica held a special place in her heart and home for numerous cats and dogs that had found their way into her life throughout her 63 years. She gained the trust of the most feral of cats that would succumb to her tender care and love. Her reward was they would never feel hunger or cold again.
She loved taking care of her home, enjoyed planting her flowers and filling her bird feeders... the simple things that many take for granted brought her the most comforting pleasure. Finally, her love for Elvis Presley was undeniably her life indulgence. She enjoyed trips to Graceland (only Elvis could get her to fly on a plane) to feel close to his love for his family, music, and food.
Loving mother of: Theresa A. Lewis (Timothy J. Burr), Robert A. Garrand, Daniel J. Garrand, Brian N. Osterhout (Christina Bell) as well as her beloved canine son "Spot".
Cherished grandmother of: Anna, Allyson, Aliyah, Kylee, Caleb, Avery, Addison, and Alannah.
Dearest sister to: Richard G. Mozeko, Wanda E. Coughlin, and Patricia A. Walton.
Ronnie is also survived by her two best friends that were her "Sisters": Susan Grenfeld and Jane Tallman.
Ronnie was predeceased by her father, George Mozeko, Jr. and her "Mother" Grandmother, Elizabeth Edwards (Known to all as Nanny).
Special Thanks To: Lauren and her team (The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County) as well as to Phil and Lisa (Saratoga Senior Center).
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
