Veronica Prince Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ronald Taylor II Funeral Home - Washington D.C. on Dec. 23, 2025.
Veronica Isabelle Prince was born on July 31, 1945, in Washington, DC, the youngest and eleventh child of Pauline Taylor and Ralph Prince. A lifelong Washingtonian, Veronica made her home in the city she loved, residing for many years at 627 Lexington Place NE and later at 1504 Alabama Avenue SE.

Veronica was a devoted and loving mother whose life centered around family, faith, and community. She shared a long and meaningful relationship with Bernard Price, with whom she raised their beloved daughter, Beverly Price. Beverly was her only child, and the joy and pride of her life.

Known for her gentle spirit and warm presence, Veronica deeply cherished her family and her day program community. She found comfort and happiness in life's simple pleasures-enjoying good food, watching television, crocheting, and spending quiet moments reading the Bible and in prayer. Her faith was steadfast, and prayer was a daily necessity that grounded her and guided her life.

Veronica is survived by her loving daughter, Beverly Price; her sister, Liz; and a large extended family and community of friends who loved and supported her deeply. Though she leaves no grandchildren, her life was rich with family bonds and community love that extended far beyond bloodlines. Special thank you to Paulette, Josette, Stephanie, Phylicia, Wanda, Melanee, Nikki and Liz for your continue support.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17th at

St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church

2800 Pennsylvania Ave, SE

Washington, DC 20020

Veronica Isabelle Prince will be remembered for her devotion as a mother, her quiet strength, her faith, and the love she generously shared with all who knew her.
