Veronica A. (Nelson) Raymond Veronica A. "Nicki" (Nelson) Raymond, 66, of Gloucester, died at her residence on Friday, June 18, 2010 after a long illness. She was born in Beverly, MA on May 23, 1944, daughter of the late William and Margaret (Tucker) Nelson. Veronica was a graduate of Beverly High School and later furthered her education by taking bookkeeping and clerical classes. She worked locally for many years, and later at Action Inc. as a home health aide which she enjoyed very much. She is survived by three children, Carleton W. Raymond III (Marla Brin), Stephen D. Raymond (Pamela A. Souza) all of Gloucester and Jonathan M. Raymond (Crystal Worwick) of Hampton, VA; three grandchildren, Tyler A. Raymond, Alexis A. Raymond both of Gloucester and Hunter D. Raymond of Hampton, VA; two sisters, Jacqueline L. Gallagher of Beverly and Dawn E. Hubbard of Hampton, NH; two brothers, William D. Nelson and David M. Nelson both of Lynn; ex-husband, Carleton W. Raymond II and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Peggy Joyce Martin and a brother, Ronald G. Nelson. Memorial visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Thursday, June 24, from 7 – 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a family gathering prior to the visiting hours at 72 Grove Street, Gloucester from 4:30 -6:30 p.m. Contact Steve at 978-317-2713.
