Veronica H. Sneed, also known as Ronnie, passed away on June 16, 2023, at 58, in
Madison, Alabama. Her daughter was by her side, holding her hand. Veronica was born on August 18, 1964, in
Austin, Texas, to Vernon Sneed, Jr., and Willie Rae Sneed King.
Veronica was a hardworking individual who dedicated much of her life to serving her community. Before graduating from Reagan High School in
Austin, Texas, in 1982, she began working at the IRS, where she had a long and fulfilling career dedicating 36 years of her life to the agency. Veronica was a devoted employee and retired from her position as a highly respected team member. After retiring, she decided to join the team at Steak Out, where she quickly earned favor with customers and colleagues alike, enjoying her company thanks to her warm personality and dedication to providing excellent service.
We're honoring the memory of Veronica Sneed, a phenomenal woman with many admirable qualities. She was remarkably beautiful, exceptionally funny, uniquely brilliant, exceedingly talented, and profoundly spiritual. Her exquisite ceramic creations were a source of immense joy and happiness for those fortunate enough to have experienced them. Find solace in knowing she had an inspiring positive impact and influence through her unwavering commitment to God. Pastor Andy Grant was blessed to have her as part of his congregation at Bible Believers Baptist Church in
Madison, Alabama.
Veronica had irresistibly radiant energy that was contagious and could light up any room. She had a joyful presence with her vibrant, colorful clothes, gorgeous hair, creative fashion choices, and sometimes spunky attitude. It was clear to everyone how much she loved and cherished her friends and family. The warmth and kindness she had radiated throughout her home. She adored her daughter, NaTéa, as her pride and joy, the center of her universe. They did everything together-shopping, self-care, movies, dinner, and even parasailing. Her nephew, Aaron Kerley, also held an extraordinary place in her heart, and the bond she shared with them was truly something special.
Veronica had a strong passion for baking during her spare time. She loved making cakes and Mexican food, which were her signature dishes. She always got invited to bring her delicious pound cakes and other dishes to various events such as birthday parties, weddings, and family reunions. Blue was her favorite color, and her family would like her celebration of life to be vibrant, colorful, and filled with joyful music. Veronica's absence will be deeply felt, and she will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Vernon Sneed, Jr. (Poppy); stepfather, Roger King; two sets of grandparents, Roylee and Mattie Maxwell, and Corine Sneed Maxwell and Vernon Sneed; her uncles, Theodore Bratton, Thurman Sneed, Emmanuel Sneed, and Warren Sneed; her aunts, Delores Faye Bratton, Joyce Sneed and Annie Laura Sneed (departed 6/21/23); her nephew, Andrew J. Cole (AJ); and her great-niece, Atara Sneed.
Left to honor and cherish her memory: her daughter, NaTéa Leonard, and fur baby, Zende Sneed; her mother, Willie Rae King; stepmother, Jessie Sneed; her siblings: Alice Kerley, Vernon Sneed III, Kendall Easley (Oreatha), Douglas Easley, Sam Easley (Jillian), Rachel Pullen (Larius), Rose Easley-Roberts (Stacy), and Valerie Sneed (Aubrey); and her aunts and uncles, Dennis Maxwell (Charlotte), Viola Searcy, Virginia Guyton, and Bobby Sneed. The ones that will miss her the most are her nieces and nephews: Ian, Roylee, Aaron, Nathan, Kimberli, Larius, Jr., Vernisha, Veronica, Douglas, Jr., Korinthian, Vernon IV, DeeAzure, Jessica, Tyris, Kalliyan, Uniqux, Denaeya, DeeViera, Tafford (TJ), Kennadi, Jade, Cyrenius, Jarius, and Liam; and a host of other relatives and friends.
