Veto Vidal Williams

Veto Vidal Williams, son of Marguerite Smith Williams and the late Whittaker Williams, was born September 2, 1974, in Columbia, South Carolina. He departed this life on Saturday, May 28, 2022, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Veto died as a result of a tragic accident, while doing what he loved most, riding his motorcycle.
"V," as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Richland County ultimately graduating from Columbia High School. He was currently employed with Belk Distribution Center as a forklift driver.
Veto knew God and was a very spiritual man. He had deep compassion for others and gave strong hugs to everyone he came in contact with. For those who knew him, knew that he was a die-hard Miami Dolphins Fan; and he had a love affair with motorcycles which started at the age of five (5) when he and his brother tried to build a motorcycle from bicycle rims.
There were two things that were non-negotiable with Veto; living life on his own terms; and his unwavering love of motorcycles. Veto's quiet nature and stoic personality belied his sweet and gentle nature that everyone loved. He will be remembered for his love for all; and his famous "bear hugs" that took your breath away.
Those who will forever cherish fond and precious memories of Veto are his beloved daughter, Becky Dreher; his loving mother, Marguerite Williams; his caring brother, Antonio Williams; three loving sisters, Dr. Shantia Williams, Monique Williams and YaWanda Burns; a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom loved him and will dearly miss him.
