Vic C. Visco, 61, of Nutley, passed away on Friday September 26, 2025 at home surrounded by his family and an abundance of love after a valorous battle against Glioblastoma. Born in San Pablo, Philippines, he was the son of the late Antolin and Zenaida Visco.
He is survived by his wife Karen (Dugan) Visco and their children, Anthony Borda, Marc Visco and Brooke Visco. His parents-in-law Anthony and Theresa Pekarsky. Sisters-in-law Denise Dugan (Frank Morrone) and Lisa Pekarsky (Darrell Taunt). He is also survived by his dear cousin Josephine Alarcon, his sister Jocelyn Visco and many cousins and Aunts and Uncles. And Cali, Brooke's cat that he was opposed to adopting but grew to love immeasurably.
At heart Vic was a Dodgers fan from his time living in California but marrying into a family of Yankees fanatics he quickly became one. He could always be seen wearing his Yankees gear. He loved following all sports, especially watching European football with Marc, but his favorite was watching Brooke play volleyball, always cheering the loudest for his Brookster!
Vic was notorious for being a foodie with the biggest sweet tooth. His favorites were his Father in law's tiramisu and carrot cake, his Mother in law's pistachio cake and Karen's magic cookie bars.
Another passion was music. Vic had a very extensive CD collection. And he was an extraordinary air guitarist. Among his favorites were Eagles, Rolling Stones, Bread, Aerosmith and The Beatles.
Vic loved spending time with his family. Their most recent trip was to Hawaii where countless memories were made. Vic and Karen also loved Newport, RI and went for weekend getaways as often as they could. He also loved visiting Anthony in Washington, D.C. One antic during a visit to the Jefferson Memorial never ceased to make Vic laugh.
After earning a BA in Finance from Adamson University Vic worked for St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson for 28 years.
Vic will be remembered and admired for his deep devotion to God. Everyday throughout his battle he would wake up thanking God for everything. He would say, "How can I complain when children are suffering with this disease." His Faith never waned and he remained steadfast in his trust in our Lord.
Rest peacefully our love, you are our Guiding Light. We will continue to pray the prayer you taught us asking Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for strength, courage and wisdom in our daily lives. Mahal Kita
