Vicente Mijarez Obituary
Vicente Mijarez, age 92, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 24, 2025 in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and will be dearly missed. Vicente is preceded in death by his parents: Andres Mijarez and Elisa Barraza and his siblings: Socorro Mijarez, Lilia Mijarez, Elisa Mijarez, Rita Mijarez, Andres Mijarez, Antonio Mijarez, Manuel Mijarez, and Tomas Mijarez. He is survived by his wife of 69 years: Elvira L. Mijarez, his children: Grace Marquez (Sam), Sylvia Wilson (Brad), Elvira Gonzales (Joe), and Vicente Mijarez Jr. (Liliana), his sister: Carmen Carranza, his grandchildren: Melissa Ceballos (Florencio), Priscilla Castillo (Antonio), William Wilson (Aleise), Michael Wilson (Claudia), Joseph Gonzales, Joshua Mijarez (Elizabeth), and Sarah Mijarez (Martin) as well as 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory.
Pallbearers include: Sam Marquez, Joe Gonzales, Vicente Mijarez Jr., Brad Wilson, Joshua Mijarez, Joseph Gonzales, Michael Wilson, and William Wilson.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes-West with a Holy Rosary to commence at 6:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, March 7, 2025 at San Martin De Porres, 1885 McNutt Rd. A Graveside Service will follow at 12:00pm at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd.
Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-West, 480 N. Resler Dr.
