Vicki Rose Ford was called to her heavenly home on September 4th, surrounded by her daughter, Holly and her husband Gorden, from her earthly home in Grice, Texas after a lengthy illness.
Vicki was born to Frank Ford and Rosa Pool Ford on September 5, 1957, in the Florence Nightingale Wing of the Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Vicki went to school in Mesquite and Dallas until moving to Rhonesboro and graduating from Harmony High School. She worked for her parents in their grocery store, Ford’s Grocery, for many years. She also worked at Harmony Schools until she became ill. Vicki was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Grice, a member of the Rebekah and Oddfellows Lodge of Athens.
Vicki is survived by her parents, Frank and Rosa Ford of Grice; brother, Larry of Grice; daughters, Holly Litchfield and husband Gorden, Patricia Rodriguez and husband Joe; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A graveside service will take place the following day, Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Rosewood Cemetery in Gilmer with Rev. Charles Johnson and Rev. Michael Pool officiating.
