Vicki Lynn Lantz

Vicki Lynn Lantz was born to Graydon Ray and Melvonia Lantz on August 25, 1963, in Pampa, Texas. She and her family remained in Pampa until June of 1972, when they moved to Healdton, Oklahoma.

After a year in Healdton then a year in Weatherford, Oklahoma followed by two years in Chickasha, Vicki's family settled in Elk City, Oklahoma in the Summer on 1976. Vicki never met a stranger and thrived in all her residences.

Vicki discovered cheerleading and softball in Elk City and pursued both with passion. She made lifelong friendships with both endeavors.

Vicki enrolled at Southwestern Oklahoma University after high school to become a teacher. Over two years, she transferred to the University of Oklahoma and then to the University of North Texas.

Dallas became her home and she worked in sales until starting Pro Messenger Service with a partner. She became a sponsor and coach to an 18-and-under traveling softball team and for several years she and the team traveled all over the southwest.

During this time Vicki's health became the driving force in her life. After dozens of surgeries her health deteriorated, and Vicki found herself back in Elk City living with her parents. She stayed in Elk City to be with people she loved. She loved being part of Thoroughbred horse-racing with her father and volunteering at the Annual Oil and Gas Golf Tournament with her mother.

She loved Elk City and was always assisting her Mother Mel and Father Grady in the many civic projects they volunteered for.

Vicki loved being an Aunt. She had dozens of nieces and nephews, and Vicki became their biggest cheerleader.

She loved OU softball and football but mostly she loved her beloved Dallas Cowboys.

Vicki passed away at home on February 11, 2026. Her smiles and hugs will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her father in 2017 and her mother in 2019.

Vicki is survived by her three brothers: David Lantz and his wife, Robbin of Elk City, Oklahoma, Larry Lantz of Cocoa, Florida, and Royal Lantz and his wife, Stephanie of Chickasha, Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026 at The Secret Gardens, Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elk City, Oklahoma.
