Vicki "Tucker" Orehek

Vicki Orehek, 78, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side. She is survived by Joseph, her beloved husband of 59 years, sister Candace (Weaver) of Grand Junction, CO, their two children, Ryan of Tega Cay, SC, and Jodi (Steve) Swaim of Edina, MN, and six grandchildren whom she treasured: Michael, Olivia, Matthew, Joseph, Payton, and Nathan.

Born in Grand Rapids, MN, to John and Betty Tucker, Vicki grew up in Virginia, MN. After marriage, she and Joe settled in Green Bay, WI, where they raised their family. After moving to the Twin Cities in 1985, she worked for the Centennial School DIstrict until retiring in 2010. Vicki loved spending time with family and her dog, Mazy. She had endless energy and enjoyed gardening, floral design, and cooking. She and Joe were avid members of the Suburban Corvette Club, enjoying road trips and cruises with other Corvette enthusiasts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 23, at Our Lady of Grace Church, Edina, MN. Visitation 10-11am, Funeral Mass and luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley, MN.
