Vicki Panozzo, age 83, of Chesterton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She was born on July 17, 1942, in Gary, Indiana, to Cecil and Beatrice (Liddell) Fisher. On May 14, 1966, Vicki married the love of her life, John Panozzo, at St. Mark Church in Gary, where they began a devoted marriage that lasted until his passing.
Vicki is survived by her brother, Richard (Jeannette) Fisher of Camarillo, California; nephews Nick (Tiffin) Fisher and Zack (Jennifer) Fisher; cousins, Patsy Parker Woods and Jim Alan Parker; and her close caregivers and extended family of the heart, Julie and Rick Fladeland, along with their children Carissa (Connor) McCall, Corey Fladeland, Colin Fladeland, and Cody Fladeland; and their granddaughter, Savannah Pellmann, who brought her comfort, companionship, and joy in her later years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, John.
Vicki graduated from William A. Wirt High School in 1961 and continued her education at a secretarial school in Chicago, Illinois. After the passing of John's parents, she worked alongside her husband at Panozzo Foods in Dolton, Illinois. The couple later moved to Valparaiso, where they operated Panozzo Quarter Horses, a venture that deeply reflected Vicki's lifelong passion for horses. She cared for them with patience, love, and a true sense of purpose.
Vicki also had a playful side and a love for collecting things that made her smile, especially her charming collection of cow statues. Each one was posed in a different, whimsical position, a quirky and beloved display that brought joy to her home and to all who visited.
A woman of faith, Vicki was a longtime member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Vicki's life will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 356 W. 700 N., Valparaiso, Indiana 46385.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana.
