Fourth generation Honey Lake Valley horse and cattle rancher Vicki Lou Root passed from this life peacefully, with her loving family at her side following a short but valiant battle with cancer, Tuesday afternoon, September 14th, 2010 at her home in Litchfield. Vicki was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who took great pride in her home and her family. Her other passion in life was raising horses and cattle. Vicki attended the Susanville Christian Fellowship Church.
