Vicki L. Stadele, 70, of rural Muscoda, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was born in
Richland Center, WI, on April 26, 1955, the daughter of Virgil and Linda (Chitwood) Keller.
Vicki grew up on a farm, where she developed a deep sense of strength, a nurturing spirit, and a lifelong love of gardening. In her youth, she was actively involved in 4-H, proudly showing cattle and embracing the values of hard work and dedication.
On September 20, 1975, she married the love of her life, Gerald C. Stadele, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Muscoda. Jerry adored her wholeheartedly-he made her laugh, cherished her deeply, and always believed she was the most beautiful woman in the world.
Early in their marriage, Vicki worked as a beautician, but when they began their family, she chose to devote herself fully to her home and loved ones. For the next 50 years, she poured her heart into caring for her husband, tending to their farm and home, and raising their four daughters. Those who knew her often joked that she never stopped moving-her energy and work ethic were truly unmatched.
Vicki found her greatest peace and joy with her hands in the soil. Each summer, she lovingly tended her beautiful flower beds and raised vegetable gardens, mowed her lawn, and kept her bird feeders full. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, often being their loudest and most enthusiastic cheerleader-both on the bleachers and beyond.
As a wife, mother, and grandmother, Vicki always put others before herself. In recent years, she devoted herself to supporting her husband through his medical challenges. She found happiness in simple, meaningful moments-talking with her daughters on the phone and sharing laughter with Jerry and her beloved brother, Steve.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Stadele of rural Muscoda; 4 daughters, Angie (Mike) Lickel of Barneveld, WI, Niki (Brian) Bailey, Dana (Jeremy) Wilson, and Kyla (Kyle) Montgomery, all of
Richland Center, WI; 8 grandchildren, Emma & Logan Lickel, William Bailey (Emily Hach), Owen Bailey (Hannah Hegland), Wren & Ryder Wilson, Lane (Alyssa) Montgomery, and Raelynn Montgomery; mother, Linda Keller of Muscoda; a brother, Steve (Janet) Keller of Arena, WI; 2 sisters, Shelly (Dwight) Mayer of Slinger, WI and Stacy (Jerry) Kleist of Richland Center; special friends and relatives Kathy & Ed Ehorn of Richland Center; other relatives and friends.
