Vickie Carpenter Obituary
It is with heavy hearts, that we share the loss of Vickie Sue (McGrath) Carpenter. Vickie was called home on August 8, 2025 at her home in Lee’s Summit, MO surrounded by her family. Born to Phillip and Virigina (Wirtz) McGrath, in Kansas City, MO September 14th, 1954. Vickie attended and graduated from Hogan High School in 1972 and the University of Missouri Kansas City in 1976. She spent her career working at Haggerty Family Dentistry in Lees Summit. On September 22, 1978, Vickie married the love of her life Timothy Carpenter.
Vickie’s greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. More than anything, she loved being a grandma.
Vickie is survived by her husband Timothy (Tim) Carpenter, son Brian Carpenter and daughter-in law Kara, grandchildren KayLeigh and Brycen; and daughter Emily Carpenter.
She was preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Virginia McGrath, brother Mike McGrath.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
