Vickie G. Starr, 68, of Jersey Shore, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1957, in Lock Haven, to the late Jack R. Packer and Peggy Lou (Poorman) Weidler. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Vickie dedicated many years of her professional life to Woolrich, Inc., where she was a respected and valued colleague. She was known for her warm spirit and vibrant personality, always bringing joy and laughter to her workplace.
Vickie had a rich and fulfilling personal life, filled with activities and people she cherished. A social soul at heart, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and was often seen attending VFW functions, where her lively presence was always appreciated. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she especially cherished the moments spent with her sisters. A loyal fan of Notre Dame Football, Vickie enjoyed cheering passionately for her team.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Patricia A. Willits and Dea J. Packer, and her brother Stephen Packer. Vickie leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her son, Jerry "Richard" (Ashley) Yost of Lewisburg; her three grandchildren; her brother, Lester R. (Judy) Packer; and her sisters, Denise A. (Scott) Bliler and Barbara Russell.
A memorial gathering in honor of Vickie's life will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 7-8 PM at the Tributes of Life Crematory Chapel, 1000 Hill Alley, Jersey Shore, PA, located directly behind Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore, PA.
In this time of loss, may we all find comfort in the joyful memories we hold of Vickie and the lasting impact she has made on our lives. The family invites those who knew Vickie to leave condolences and share fond memories at www.rearickcarpenter.com.
