Vicky Lynn Takewell

Vicky Lynn Browder Takewell, age 67, of West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on January 27, 2026. She was born on May 6, 1958, in San Gabriel, California

Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, Cloyd Dewayne Browder and Kathryn Whittington Browder; her brother-in-law, Ronald Savanna; and her sister-in-law, Georgia Browder.

She is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Jessica Takewell Roberts and husband Richard; her son, Jared Takewell and fiancée Tonya; her sister, Rita Browder Savanna; and her brother, Dennis Wayne Browder. She also leaves behind her nephew, Scott Savanna, and her nieces, Jennifer Shoemaker, Courtney Browder Warren and husband Tull.

Vicky was a proud grandmother to Ryland Taylor and wife Madison, Colbie Thompson and boyfriend Dawson, Caitlyn Roberts, and Tyler Roberts . She was blessed to be a great-grandmother to Brooks Taylor, and a great-aunt to Troy Savanna and Cameron Shoemaker.

She is also survived by her adopted son, Matthew Lively, and his children, Dakota, Brenton, Macy, and Alayna, whom she loved dearly.

Vicky was a retired CNA and a faithful member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She had a big heart and a vibrant personality. She loved her cats, karaoke nights, reading, shopping, jewelry, and clothes. Music brought her joy-especially country music, with Patsy Cline and Elvis Presley holding a special place in her heart. Her laughter, warmth, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Honoring Vicky as pallbearers are John Paul Takewell, Scott Savanna, Troy Savanna, Dawson Johnson, Matt Lively and Seth McMillion. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Roberts and Earl Elkins.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM officiated by Reverend Nathan Luellen. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens, West Monroe, Louisiana.
