Victor Ray "Vic" Langren

Victor R. "Vic" Langren, age 75, of Sidney, NE, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 02, 2026, at the Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, March 09, 2026, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sidney with Father C.P. Varghese and Father Bryan Ernest officiating. A Rosary will be held prior to the Mass as 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make memorial contribution to The Sidney Volunteer Fire Department or the Sidney Elks Lodge.

Victor was born on October 29, 1950, in Denver, CO, to Louise Lovsey and William Langren. Victor arrived in Sidney in the spring of 1979. Shortly after arriving, Victor went to work for Stickney's Inc tire shop. In March of 1985, Rood's Tire Center opened and Victor joined the crew and worked there until his death.

He quickly became a part of the Rood family and is well known in the Sidney community. Victor was a member of the Sidney Volunteer Fire Dept for several years. Victor loved all his fellow Rood's Tire Center coworkers over the last 41 years; they were more than coworkers; they became family and lifelong friends. Victor had a passion for the outdoors including archery and fishing. He loved spending time with the Rood family at the North PHORk and the Red Roof every summer.

Victor was a simple, kindhearted, hardworking, one-of-a-kind type of guy. He didn't know a stranger. Always greeting people with "hey guy", "hey ladybug" or "hey sunshine." He walked almost everywhere in Sidney and waved at everyone. Victor was loved by anyone he came in contact with. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone. Victor also had a work ethic and loved working on tires at the shop and of course loved talking with all his regular customers. Victor was an "uncle" to so many over the years, and he absolutely loved having that name to so many.

Victor is survived by brothers Donnie Langren of Ft. Morgan, CO, Bill and Bernadette of Aurora, CO, Mike and Cindy of Ft. Collins, CO and sister Debbie Hart of Milaca, MN, along with several nieces and a nephew. Victor is also survived by his Rood's Tire Center family; Jeff Jons, Glenn Dvorak, Travis Schuessler and Chris Townsend and many previous employees and the Rood Family; Loren and Geri Rood, Brandon and Tara Rood with daughters Devaney and McKinley, Lori Rood and fiancé Collin Anderson and Michelle Rood.

ic was preceded in death by his parents William and Louise and special grandma Josephine Langren and a niece and several members of the Rood family.
