Victor A. Torres Sr. -64, of Mays Landing passed away peacefully in his home on January 11, 2024.
Victor was born February 7, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA to Shirley Gardner Henry (predeceased) and Herman Torres Sr. (predeceased). Victor was predeceased by his stepfather, Gene Henry Sr., and brothers - Herman Torres, Tony Torres, and Fred Henry. He is survived by his wife Dawn Morris, his beloved son Victor Torres Jr. (TJ), brothers Steve Peplowski (Tracy), Gene Henry Jr. (DiAnna), Patrick Henry (Edwina), and Herman Torres Jr., sisters Gina Robertson (Tim), Kim Emper, and another sister who resides in Puerto Rico. Victor is also survived by his close friends Bob, Dave, and Saulo. Victor leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, family and in-laws that will miss him dearly.
Victor was a graduate of Oakcrest High School class of 1977. He spent many years working at pharmaceutical companies which included Whitehall Labs, AKPharma Inc. (where he met his wife),Telegent Inc., and Stokes Pharmacy. His last place of employment was Hikma Pharmaceutical. Victor loved skiing, going to the shooting range, and was an avid gym goer. He spent years amateur wrestling where his stage name was "Bodybag". Many of his friends and family would attend his matches to show their support. Victor also enjoyed ATV riding with his friends, and was known for his mechanical abilities with just about anything. Losing Victor so suddenly was devastating to his family and friends. We will attempt to find comfort through our memories, knowing he was reunited with all those who had gone before him and most of all knowing it was God who called him home. Rest in peace Victor.
